equipment bike maps missed

 

I was really satisfied with my equipment. Nevertheless there were some things I missed during the tour.

 

Shoes

I only had a pair of bike shoes. A second one or at least a pair of bathing shoes would have been very advantageous.

Money

I only had Euros. This was not good. In Romania and Yugoslavia for particular there were not many cash mashines. In the rural regions I got through they accepted only national currency. It would have been better to take some amount of every national currency with me.

Dictionary

I really got along. But to know some Romanian words and expressions would have made it easier.

Cup and water stove

I slept out in the open nearly every day. Therefore a cup of hot tea or a soup would have been good. First I wanted to take a cup and a water stove with me. But then I didn't do it because of the weight and the space consumption.
